On August 30, 2022, our subsidiary GUICOPRES BTP was called upon by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to carry out emergency work on the badly damaged TOMBO road.

The work involved demolishing the existing pavement and concreting over it at the same time, which was done in a record time of 24 hours. However, a concrete pavement requires an incompressible drying period of at least eight (08) days before it can be opened to traffic; this led to the closure of the section for exactly one week, whereas the repair work had been completed in just one day.

Aware of the short-term negative impact of such work on the flow of traffic, the GUICOPRES GROUP would like to offer its sincerest apologies to those who may have been affected by this damaging but necessary closure; while assuring users that this work, carried out to the highest professional standards, will guarantee the lasting preservation of the roadway, which has now been rehabilitated and reopened to traffic.

GROUPE GUICOPRES, a corporate citizen, reaffirms its full commitment to supporting the Government in its infrastructure projects aimed at improving traffic conditions for the well-being of a Guinean population aspiring to quality and progress.
